About Perforator
Oboe with electronic punch and innovative music theatre for all ages.
Perforator was born on a special day in July, probably most certainly around 2016 (give or take a year). It was brought to life by Kayva and Akim, and would have been impossible without an army of scenographers, technical wizards, musicians, ensembles, orchestras, the foundation, and other creative geniuses.

Kayva van Gangelen
Founder & Oboist
Uses unconventional techniques and electronics to create a broad palette of new musical forms of expression.
A core member of the s t a r g a z e ensemble, she has performed with Terry Riley, Bill Frisell, Bon Iver, Nils Frahm, and others. The ensemble tours globally, has a record deal with Transgressive Records, and contributed to Leonard Cohen’s album.

Akim Moiseenkov
Performing composer
Composer specialized in electronic music, self-made instruments, other media and performance arts.
His projects include performing for goats, joystick-music, Keytar soloing, creating kinetic art for the Dutch National Opera, and being an art installation for the Asko Schoenberg ensemble. He taught at AKI ArtEZ and earned a cum laude Master of Music.
